New Release: The Darklight's War

Hello!

It's finally here.

No, really, it's here.

The epic conclusion to Theros & Co.'s journey is finally here in ebook format (paperback in progress, see below).

The paperback version was too large for KDP, so it will be printed through IngramSpark. The files have already been submitted, and are under review. I'll shoot out another email once it is officially released.

This has been a long, long journey (more on that below) that started all the way back in December 2011.

Here we are over 13 years later, and you get to help me close the last chapter.

Not only is it done, but I think you're going to absolutely love this edition of it with the updated cover, interior formatting, and glossary/pronunciation guide.

This gorgeous new version was only made possible by the amazing, generous, and patient Kickstarter backers!

This now means that we've released the new editions of the entire Beating Back the Darkness series!

The Darklight's War - Paperback

The paperback version has been ready to go for the last week, but it was simply too large for KDP. So, it will be printed through IngramSpark. The files have already been submitted, and are under review. They said their review process is typically less than a week, so I expect that we'll have a paperback version available at some point this month. I'll shoot out another email once it is officially released.

Kickstarter

The Kickstarter aspect of this whole project leaves me with very mixed emotions. I am beyond grateful for all of the incredible folks who backed the project and very, very patiently awaited everything they paid for. However, the truth is, this project was completely overwhelming. I had no idea how much I was taking on, and I don't know that I'll ever do it again. At least not by myself.

Now that the The Darklight's War is officially released, with paperback coming soon, we are almost able to wrap up the Kickstarter. I've still got to order physical copies of all the books and begin signing books and building the orders, so we can move toward backer order fulfillment. We are very close to that point, and I'll be incredibly relieved once those orders can begin shipping.

The End of a Journey

I think I'll write more on the subject of Theros and his companions, and their genesis at another time.

In this moment, I'm just trying to process that the story that was birthed in December of 2011, has now come to a close.

I'm sure there are a myriad of emotions that I'll experience, but I think I'm too near the project and the work (and the work that still remains) to process that. In fact, in some ways, I'm a bit numb to it all. Perhaps it's just the simple fact that so much work remains to finish the kickstarter.

Some day, perhaps when I'm least expecting it, it will all sink in.

Even still, it is done.

Theros' and his companions has run their race, and I hope some good was done in it.

Blessings,

Tiger
